For Freedom

I hope everyone is having a great beginning to their week! I have a surprise this week, and that’s that I have 2 posts! After going to see one of my favorite artist’s at one of my favorite venues on Sunday I had to tell everyone all about it! So let’s get on with it shall we?

First off lets start with talking about the lovely venue/restaurant that is Eddie’s Attic. It was my third time visiting this venue, and I’ve never left disappointed by it. It’s a small venue that gives a perfect intimate feel for their shows, and the people that work there are always so nice. One of my favorite things about this venue is that they emphasize the point that they are a listening venue, which means silent cell phones and no talking during the show. Thank goodness for venues that find it just as important for people to focus on the music and artists instead of other things, right? There’s nothing I hate more than when you go to a concert, and everyone around you wants to be rude and talk. I love that I don’t have to worry about that when I go to Eddie’s Attic. I often tell people it’s one of my favorite venues, and I’ll continue to tell people that. The people, the food, the music, and the atmosphere is all so great! If you ever get a chance to go check it out then definitely take it!

Next up we have to discuss the amazingly talented Annie Lawrence! I loved her voice so much, it’s a mixture of sweet and powerful, and that makes for a great combination. She had a really great stage presence, and I loved all of her songs. I unfortunately hadn’t had much of a chance to listen to her stuff before the show, but I really enjoyed all of her originals. I purchased her Light is Stronger EP after the show, and my mom and I listened to it on our way home. It was definitely worth purchasing! I do believe she said she is supposed to have an album out this Fall. I definitely recommend you check out her website, and give her music a listen on Spotify or iTunes. I definitely hope to see her in concert again one day!

Last but not least is the greatly talented duo Jenny and Tyler. This was my third time seeing them in concert, and it was so amazing as usual! Their voices fit together really well, and they put on a great show together. I love their lyrics and I love that they play their own instruments during the show as well. It’s also really cool that they give the crowd a chance to help pick some of the songs that they sing during the show. One of my favorite things about this tour they’re currently on is that they’re using it as a time to not only give to, but to also share about the fight against modern day slavery and trafficking. They also had these cool bracelets for sell at their merch booth that gave a week of water to people who need it. I got one of those cool bracelets, and a super soft cute shirt. Jenny and Tyler always put on an amazing show, and I highly recommend you going to see them next time they’re near you. You will not regret going to see them one bit! Definitely go check them out on Spotify or iTunes. Or you can check out their website for more information.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the review of the For Freedom tour stop in Atlanta, and I hope you go and check out the venue and artists if you ever get the chance. If you want to see some pictures of the venue, and from the show just look below! I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week, and I’ll see all of ya’ll on Friday! I’ll give you a slight hint on that this weeks post is the opposite of last Friday’s post.  Has anyone else been to Eddie’s  Attic? What did you think about it? Any good shows coming up there that I should go see?
