Summer 2018 (p.3)

Two days ago I put up a playlist that I’ve deemed as perfect. Or at least it’s perfect for me, and I hope that those who may have checked it out have found it great as well. If you haven’t checked out Summer 2018 (p. 1) yet to see the playlist then be sure to check it out! It’s not only perfect for a summer drive as I originally said. It’s also great for listening to when you’re getting ready in the morning. I like upbeat music to help me start my day, and my summer playlist is full of it. Not only is upbeat music a part of my morning routine though. Skincare is also a large part of how I get ready in the mornings.

I’m no skincare pro, but I do love researching different products. I love trying new things, and I especially love when I find products that work. This summer I wanted lighter products that were not going to feel gross after being out in the summer heat. I’ve found a few that I’m really enjoying at the moment, and thought I would share. One thing about me is that when I’m researching different products to try I normally turn to blogs. I thought that maybe some of you were possibly the same, and so I thought I’d share a few of my favorite products.

1. Sunscreen

You know those pale people problem pictures that seem to make appearances every summer? Yeah those were most definitely written about me! I’m really pale, and I burn really easily. Sunscreen is something I try to use all year round, but especially during the summer. I currently have 2 sunscreen products that I use. My daily one that I use is e.l.f.’s Beauty Shield because it has SPF 50, it smells lovely, and it actually provides a light coverage. It’s also only $12 at Target, which I believe is fairly cheap for a product that appears to work so well. I also use Coppertone’s Oil Free face sunscreen. which is also SPF 50. What can I say? I need a lot of protection. E.l.f.’s sunscreen isn’t waterproof so I need something that’s a bit more heavy duty. This will be my second summer using Coppertone’s face sunscreen, and I really love it. It’s worked fairly well under makeup. It did not make my face oily the way a face stick normally does, which means I didn’t breakout from using it. I love both of these products, and plan to heavily use them all summer! Also while not pictured I also have started using Sun Bum’s chapstick, which is SPF 30. It’s also been helpful in sun protection!

2. Pixi Products

Not only is sunscreen important to me, but I also find having a good skincare routine is significant. I’ve tried so many different brands over the years, but Pixi is my favorite. I’ve used it longest, and have loved it the most. Their double cleanser, moisturizers, tonics, serums, lash nourish pads, and makeup wipes are all products I’ve tried and loved. My face has felt better than ever after using their stuff, and I adore it. I can’t recommend it enough. It’s a little bit pricier than what I used to like to spend, but I’ve found it’s completely worth it. This product can only be found online or at Target, but if you’re trying to find something then you should consider it.

3. Serums and Moisturizers

Not only do I use Pixi products, but I’ve recently used several Avon products. Glossier balm dotcom has also been used quite often. Avon’s Anew Vitamin C serum has seemed to make my skin appear to be brighter. It’s quite light, and goes great underneath my moisturizer. I’ve also loved the Anew under eye cream as well. I love that it has moisturizer for underneath my eye along with moisturizer for the eyelid. It feels very refreshing to apply. Also I’d hear people raving about Glossier’s balm dotcom, and finally decided to try it! I agree with everyone else that this product is worth all the hype it has! I have to have it with me at all times!

4. Formula 10.0.6

I LOVE Formula 10.0.6’s products! I read so many reviews on their masks, and finally decided to try them. I have at least 4 of these masks, and they’ve all been fantastic. They’re also really affordable, which I love. The Skin-calming gel mask is my favorite for summer right now. With how hot it can be outside this is perfect for a summer night. It’s cooling and soothing as it claims.

5. Target Beauty Box

Last but not least I have to take a minute to rave about the Target Beauty Boxes. I recently purchased this one that was filled with all types of products that are great for summer. It was only $7, and has given me a chance to try products I’d been interested in! I believe they come out with one on a monthly basis. I always check the Target app to be able to see when they release a new one so that I can see what the box holds. If there’s a product you’ve been interested in, but are hesitant to buy. I’d recommend looking into one of these. They’re worth the $7!

These are a few of the products that I’m using on a regular basis, and I adore them. I can’t recommend them enough, and I hope that maybe just maybe you’ll find something that you adore as well! If you have any more questions about the products feel free to ask, or feel free to recommend some of your favorite summer products as well! I’d love to hear from you!
