“I’m ready for the fall”

“I’m ready for the fall
I’m ready for everything
That I believed in to drift away
I’m ready for the leaves
Ready for the colors to burn to gold and crumble away”

The other morning as I stepped out the door I abruptly stopped, and a smile spread across my face. Why you may ask? Because I could feel it coming! What’s “it”? Oh “it” is Fall!  I could feel just a slight bit of Fall in the air!! I felt like I was walking on air the rest of the week. Just that small bit made me that happy! That’s how much I love Fall with all of it’s golden, cozy, and peaceful times that it brings. In my opinion, there’s so much to love about the season! It means holidays are approaching, leaves are changing, mellow music, apple/pumpkin everything, and so much more. I’m sitting here with another big smile on my face just thinking about it!! I thought I’d do something a bit similar to what I did for summer, and share just a few of my favorite Fall things!

My typical Fall music is music that for the most part you’d most likely hear on one of those teen TV shows. Basically you could watch an episode of The Vampire Diaries, and somewhat get a vibe of what I listen to throughout the season. For me when I start my Fall playlist search I’m looking for music that’s more on the mellow side. This years playlist is filled with some of my favorites from past years along with some new songs that I discovered over the last few weeks. I’ve only given the playlist a few listens myself just because I’ve been spending a lot of time working on it, but I think it has a great flow to it! I can’t wait to listen to it for the next few months, and to add to it as new Fall music is released! You can click here to give the playlist a spin or to check it out for new songs to add to your own playlist! Also be sure to check it out as the season continues as I’m sure that more will be added along the way!

Bonfires, trips to the mountains/apple house, the fair, hiking, pumpkin patches, hayrides, corn mazes, concerts, and so much more. Fall activities are my favorite! I’ve already got a list made of places I want to visit and things I want to do! One of the things at the top of my list is to head to the mountains to go to the Panorama Apple House. I miss their apples pies and apple cider so much right now! You know the heart eye emoji? Well that’s me when I think about or eat one of their pies and drink their cider. I’m also so ready to go visit some parks or something to get out and go walking. It’s so hot in the summer that it’s hard to go visit a lot of outdoor places, and so Fall is the perfect time. Especially because everything is so pretty during the Fall. Also let’s be real I’m going to need to get out and walk because I feel like I eat so much in the Fall. So much apple and pumpkin stuff, candy (especially candy corn!!), Thanksgiving meals, and fair food! Literally I’m stuffing my face the whole time, which is probably not much different than other times. I just get really excited for food in the Fall!

I saw/heard so many people say they were waiting for September 1st to decorate for Fall, but I said nope to that! My room’s been decorated a couple of week’s now! I just saw that Target has their Fall stuff out now though so I’m sure I’ll be adding to it pretty soon! I love decorating for Fall! It makes my room feel all warm and cozy, and Fall decorations are full of some of my favorite colors. It does make it harder to leave my room sometimes though because I just love sitting and looking at it all!

Also I just have to say that decorating for a holiday/season doesn’t have to be expensive at all. Most of my stuff came from Target’s dollar spot, Walmart, the Dollar Store, and even a few things from Goodwill. I didn’t spend over $10 on any of the Fall items I have in my room. I’m not sure how much I spent overall, but I also didn’t buy it all at one time. A lot of has just been a work in progress that I add to every year. Hence the fact that I’m excited to go to Target tonight, and get a look at all of their cute Fall stuff.

Oh how I love a good Fall candle! I’m that weird person that says the stronger it is the better it is!! I love super strong apple, cinnamon, pumpkin, and vanilla scent candles! It’s especially great when it’s a mixture like the one I’m currently using! Right now I have Pumpkin Spice Vanilla burning, and it smells fantastic!! Fall hasn’t even officially started, and I’m already on my 5th Fall candle. Oops! I’ve tried many different candle brands. I’ve found that I don’t like Bath and Body works ones because they’re not strong enough, and same with Avon. I sometimes get candles from Walmart, but my favorite place to buy them is TJ Maxx! I went a few weeks ago, and loaded up! I think I bought 5-8 candles, and they were each like $1.99-$3.99. So they’re super cheap, but work amazingly! Right now I’m burning the one in the pic to the right, and it’s a brand called DW Home. I’ve had several from them now, and they’re all great! I also really love a brand you can find at TJ Maxx called Woodwick. It’s self explanatory I guess, but the wick is wood. They last for such a long time, and they smell amazing! I definitely recommend! As you can tell I’m slight candle obsessed, and I basically have to have one burning in my room whenever I’m chilling!

If you follow my Instagram then you’ve probably seen me say multiple times that I’m so done with Summer clothes. I’m already not a big fan of Summer clothes normally, but by the end of the Summer I’m especially done! Fall and Winter clothes are my favorite, and I’ve already been working on adding a few pieces to my wardrobe/planning new outfits with things I already own. I think it’s clear by the above picture that it seems there’s a color scheme going on this year! I’m loving mustard yellow and different reds! I’m ready to wear them all! I’m also so ready for denim jackets, and to bring out my pleather jacket again! I think my pleather jacket is going to need some doctoring this year, but I’m hoping to still be able to use the same one I’ve been wearing for years. It’s my favorite! In case I can’t use it though I’d love some great suggestions on where to get a new one! So be sure to comment below or contact me on social media for some places to look!

Also a special shoutout to my favorite sport that comes back in the Fall!!! It’s currently 1 month and 9 days until my favorite teams opening night! I’ve missed screaming at the TV, and feeling like I can’t breathe for several hours a few nights a week! Preseason starts soon, and this girl is so freaking ready for it already! So yeah I say I’m excited for Fall clothes, but let’s be real! Majority of the time I’ll probably be in Pred’s merch repping my faves!

I’m like a kid in a candy store thinking about Fall, and all that it brings with it! I can’t wait to put summer behind us, and move forward to the best season. Is anyone else’s favorite season Fall? If so, what are you looking forward to about the season? Any fun activities planned, foods you look forward to, or something else? I’d love to hear from you on what you’re most excited about during the season! Be sure to comment below!
